This watch is highly regarded among collectors and requires little introduction. Considered the ultimate gem within the 6139 lineup.
It was exclusively produced for a brief period of approximately two years and was solely available in the Japanese market, without any export version. The particular timepiece from February 1970 is truly stunning. The matte black dial is almost flawless, displaying no signs of fading. The printed markers are sharp, and the original luminescent plots exhibit an even, warm patina. The hour and minute hands, in black and white, remain pristine without any paint loss or chipping.
The chronograph hands retain their original vibrant orange color, featuring the correct "two-piece" sweep in the center. The day display can be switched between English and Kanji (Japanese) by pressing the recessed dimpled crown.
The case retains its original, unpolished condition, with the factory edges and finishes still intact. It is entirely in its original state, and following servicing, the 21-jewel 6139A movement maintains near-perfect timekeeping.
Ships from Tokyo, Japan.
