Seiko Reverse Baby Panda 6138-8001

The Reverse Baby Panda needs no introduction and it came in two variations: The 6138-8000 and the 6138-8001, leaving you with an obvious dilemma: Which one to choose? In our opinion, the 6138-8000 leans toward a more compact, classic design, while the 6138-8001 sets itself apart with a taller case, a non-lume dial and hands, and an undeniably sleek, modern aesthetic, all while staying true to its unmistakable "Panda" DNA.

Not only rarer, finding a reverse 8001 in top condition is no easy feat, which is why we're beyond excited to offer this immaculate example, freshly serviced and still sporting traces of its original protective blue film on the caseback.

Designed in the 1970s yet still turning heads today, the Baby Panda is a testament to Miura's genius, the same mind behind icons like the Pogue, Bruce Lee, and the Holy Grail. The clean, balanced dial never goes out of style, making this a watch you can dress up or down effortlessly. And thanks to its compact case and integrated lugs, it wears like a dream on the modern wrist.

Condition report
This chronograph is in excellent overall condition. The case remains strong with only light surface wear, while the real star of the show, the dial, stands out in pristine form, complemented by intact hands, including the striking red-tipped chronograph hand.

The crystal has been replaced with a new one, and the caseback shows some minor scratches, with traces of the original blue protective sticker still present — a rare detail for collectors.

The bracelet is in full-size and in great shape, retaining its sharp edges with only a few minor scratches.
